Tokyo City

DiskO

En route to JR Sakuragicho Station, we saw these rides in a small amusement park. When I saw this ride in motion, I knew instantly that I had to try taking a long exposure shot. So my family sat and waited while I set the shot up.

Or not.

This is the fountain in the center of Venus Fort shopping mall in Odaiba. The entire mall is modeled to look like Venice in Italy. The ceiling is fake; it shows up as a clear blue sky during the day, but gradually fades to a night-time sky complete with stars as the day turns into night.

I noticed that many Asian countries have something similar to this.

So Sydney, where’s your version of this?

At the end of the Nakamise (flea markets lining either side of the path to Sensoji) in Asakusa, there were rows and rows of lanterns. Sensoji Temple itself was being renovated, so I couldn’t get many good photos in there this time.
